Volo Has Come A Long Way!
1830 - 1910!In the Beginning…
Located at the crossroads of Chicago Road, McHenry Road, and Little Fort Road, this little town became an important trading point and meeting spot for political conventions. By 1850, many surrounding townships were formed, along with our town of Forksville, which would later be renamed Volo.

Volo
was first settled in the 1830’s. Those who came through and decided to stay
built their houses only with the use of basic tools. Many of these structures
are still standing today, including the huge, L-shaped barn, which houses our
Antique Mall 1.
